Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region.
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, has described artificial intelligence (AI) as a powerful tool that can help people understand problems and identify solutions, stressing that it must be used responsibly.
Speaking during an event at The Foundation Hub in Sulaymaniyah on Saturday, Talabani said humans remained in control of AI and that he was not afraid of the technology.
“I am not afraid of AI, and I do not think it is the end of the world. I use AI myself and have benefited from it,” he said. “AI has made work faster, but it must be used responsibly.”
“Artificial intelligence is useless without humans. At this event, a group of young people have engaged with AI responsibly. The Kurdistan Regional Government needs young people and their innovations, and we will support them wherever we are,” he added.
Talabani said, “AI is more than just a companion; it is a powerful tool that helps people understand problems, identify solutions and make the journey ahead shorter.”
