On the sidelines of the annual Delphi Economic Forum, Qubad Talabani, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, met with Thanos Dokos, the National Security Advisor of Greece, and Georgios Georgantas, the Agriculture Minister of Greece.
In his discussion with Greece's National Security Adviser, the two parties discussed ways to combat terrorist organizations and preserve stability in Iraq and Kurdistan. The Greek National Security Adviser stated that his country is ready to assist the Kurdistan Region, particularly in the area of advice.
Both sides considered it necessary to establish coordination between the relevant parties in both countries.
During his second meeting with the Greek Minister of Agriculture, they discussed ways to strengthen agricultural ties between the two countries, especially in sharing Greek expertise with Kurdistan to advance the irrigation and agricultural sectors.
Qubad Talabani stated: "Kurdistan is an important agricultural region and has favorable opportunities to develop the agricultural sector," adding that Greek investors and companies should be encouraged to visit Kurdistan.
