87 Litres of Liquid Methamphetamine Seized in Sulaymaniyah.

The Kurdistan Region Security Agency (Asayish) has announced the arrest of two suspected drug traffickers and the seizure of 87 litres of liquid methamphetamine, commonly known as crystal meth.

The General Directorate of Asayish in Sulaymaniyah Governorate said officers, in coordination with the Directorate of Checkpoint Security, searched a vehicle at a checkpoint on 23 October 2026. The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of 87 litres of liquid methamphetamine concealed in four containers and allegedly intended for smuggling abroad.

According to the statement, the suspects remain in custody under Article 25 of the Law on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, while investigations are ongoing.
