PUK, KDP Meet in Erbil

President Bafel, Fazil Mirani, and PUK and KDP Officials.

In the presence of Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), the PUK and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) met on Monday, June 6, 2023, at the PUK Political Bureau headquarters in Erbil.

Dr. Soran Jamal Tahir, PUK spokesperson, told PUKMEDIA that the meeting's purpose is to evaluate the current state of affairs in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, the upcoming challenges the Kurds will face, the problems and issues that the Kurds face, and a program to address these concerns, as well as PUK-KDP relations and ways to strengthen them. 

On Sunday, June 25, 2023, President Bafel, accompanied by a senior PUK delegation, visited the Gorran Movement, the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), and the Kurdistan Justice Group (KJG).
