First National Remembrance Ceremony for President Mam Jalal in Najaf

The President Jalal Talabani Foundation (PJTF) and the Bahr al-Uloom Foundation host the first national event in Najaf to commemorate the passing of the nation's pride, President Mam Jalal.

President Rashid: Mam Jalal was the President of all Iraqis

President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, delivered a speech at the beginning of the event in which he stated: "President Mam Jalal was a leader for all Iraqis, and he successfully guided the nation through numerous crises." 
 
"The collaboration between President Mam Jalal and Iraqi leaders was crucial to the overthrow of the Ba'ath regime and the establishment of federalism. "The late President maintained strong ties with political, scientific, and social figures in Najaf, demonstrating a keen interest in the notable figures from this region," he added. 
 
He continued: We are gathered in this scientific facility today to express our appreciation for President Mam Jalal's support of the academic and scientific direction, which has resulted in the progress and expansion we have witnessed thus far. The late President contributed significantly to its establishment. We are privileged to participate in today's event. For this collaborative effort, I commend PJTF and Bahr al-Uloom."

PJTF President: We will commemorate President Mam Jalal and Allama Mohammed Bahr al-Uloom

Ambassador Dr. Mohammed Sabir, the President of the PJTF, also delivered a speech at the ceremony. He stated, "We are pleased that the beginning of the collaborative step between the PJTF and the Bahr al-Uloom Foundation is President Mam Jalal's first national event. We hope to conduct a variety of scientific and cultural activities for the benefit of intellectuals, academics, and politicians. 
 
"President Mam Jalal has worked for the benefit of every single Iraqi, not just the Kurds, one religion, and one nation. Today, Sulaymaniyah has arrived in Najaf, and through both foundations, we are honoring the friendship between President Mam Jalal and Allama Mohammed Bahr al-Uloom. Through this event, we will discuss Mam Jalal's national stances and his deserving position. We will also discuss Mam Jalal's impact on the historical evolution of Iraq since the establishment of the Iraqi state. The clear and productive influence of President Mam Jalal is evident on every stage," he added.
