Iraqi Presidency Supports Government's Security Measures

The Iraqi Presidency published a declaration in which it expressed full support for the Iraqi government's measures to maintain security in the country.

The declaration stated:

The Presidency of the Republic affirms that it fully supports the actions taken by the government to maintain security and stability and to stop illegal acts and operations against diplomatic missions and other government institutions in Iraq. These actions aim to undermine Iraq's sovereignty, destabilize the nation, and damage Iraq's reputation internationally. The Presidency of the Republic is in favor of the security protocols and strategies implemented lately, one of which is the holding of all security forces accountable at the assault site. To be clear, the Third Brigade of the Federal Police has been in charge of the aforementioned presidential unit since 2015.
