On the second day of the Munich Security Conference 2024, Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met several foreign officials.

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron met during the second day of the Munich Security Conference.
The discussion focused on the political and security situation in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the surrounding area. It highlighted the need to enhance coordination and collaboration between the two parties to combat terrorism and uphold regional stability.
President Bafel highlighted recent security updates, emphasising that the terrorism danger persists and that increasing collaboration to address it is crucial for upholding peace and security in the region.
President Bafel Meets Qatari Emir's National Security Advisor
President Bafel also had a meeting with Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Misnad, who serves as the National Security Advisor to the Emir of Qatar, during the second day of the Munich Security Conference.
The meeting focused on key political, security, and economic developments in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. It stressed the importance of preserving stability in the region, urging all political entities to address issues through dialogue and understanding for future collaboration.
President Bafel highlighted that the region's future hinges on prudent decisions, advocating for a return to dialogue to address obstacles to peace and stability.
He stressed the need to develop relations and coordination between Qatar and the Kurdistan Region to ensure that collaboration benefits both parties, enhancing security and upholding stability in the region.
