Following the suggestion of Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), the haematology ward of Hiwa Hospital has undergone renovations and is now open to cancer patients. The hospital director expressed gratitude to President Bafel for his assistance and acknowledged his consistent support.
Director of Hiwa Hospital: President Bafel supports us
Dr. Yad Naqshbandi, the Director of Hiwa Hospital, told PUKMEDIA: "We express our gratitude to President Bafel for his unwavering support and assistance. Upon informing him of the issues affecting the hospital, he promptly advocated for the renovation of the hospital. It is currently accessible to individuals diagnosed with cancer."
The renovation addressed the problem of limited space
Hiwa Hospital issued a statement stating that the haematology ward is a critical component of the hospital, with a capacity of roughly 28 patients. This essentially resolves the previous spatial constraint. At the same time, a service system has been put in place to avoid the spread of illnesses that have previously caused problems in the ward."
The statement continued, "The hospital's emergency room and children's ward were previously renovated by Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the PUK. These improvements will take care of the issues and make cancer patients' lives easier, while also providing financial assistance to approximately 200 volunteers at Hiwa Hospital."
Hiwa Hospital in Sulaymaniyah Province specialises in providing medical care to people who have been diagnosed with cancer. Every year, cancer patients from across Iraq visit the hospital to receive the critical medical care they require.
