Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Rayan al-Kildani, Secretary General of the Babylon Movement, in Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah.
They stressed the need to develop relations and joint work between the two sides in order to achieve higher national goals.
The meeting also addressed the political situation in Iraq, as well as the continuation of dialogue and understanding between the political forces and parties in order to maintain stability and implement the service program.
The matter of elections in the Kurdistan Region was another subject of discussion, with both parties underscoring the necessity for collaboration and partnership between the PUK and the Babylon Movement, which is participating in elections in the Kurdistan Region for the first time.
In this context, President Bafel explained the PUK's endeavours towards the success of the process in an impeccable manner, stating: "All our efforts are dedicated to serving people and reinforcing justice, aiming to eradicate political punishment and discrimination in service provision."
