PUK President to PUK's Media: Convey Messages Responsibly

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), visited the PUK's Media and Awareness Bureau. He received a warm welcome from Imad Ahmed, Head of the Media and Awareness Bureau; Latif Nerwayi, Head of the Media Board; Najmadin Faqe Abdullah, Head of the Awareness Board; the Bureau members; and some journalists.
Imad Ahmed presented a report emphasising the PUK's responsible and professional media program and policy, which aligns with the current phase and upcoming changes, serving the higher interests of the Kurdish people. He also expressed gratitude to President Bafel for his support.
PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani extended his appreciation to all PUK journalists who significantly contributed to the restoration and reorganisation of the balance of power and the triumph of the PUK and conveyed the messages with professionalism and patriotism. He stated: "I have come to express my gratitude; however, I am not telling you to rest. From this day forward, your mission will begin to accomplish our goals."
President Bafel highlighted the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the region, the situation after the elections, and the PUK's strategy on these issues. He explained the PUK's policy concerning issues and emphasised that the PUK has equipped itself for this new phase in governance with a national and patriotic vision to serve the people.
He told the PUK's cadres: "We will faithfully implement our program that we've promised the Kurdish people, with the help of God, our people, and you PUK cadres. All our actions will be aimed at fortifying our framework and protecting our rights."
Regarding the duties of the PUK's media for the current stage, President Bafel formulated a media policy roadmap, emphasising a commitment to integrity, professionalism, and precision. He asserted that the PUK's media must convey its messages with responsibility and seriousness, consistently avoiding media chaos driven by a biased agenda that seeks to distort facts and distract journalists from their primary professional responsibilities.
"This will not be our job nor that of the PUK's media; thus, we will work together to realise the goals and desires of our cherished people and build a more promising future for them," he said.
