Halabja: About 1.5 Billion IQD Made From Pomegranate & Autumn Festival

Pomegranate & Autumn Festival in Halabja.
The 10th Pomegranate & Autumn Festival of Halabja, which spanned three days, attracted over 300,000 visitors and generated around 1.5 billion Iraqi dinars in revenue.
Hashim Ali, head of the Halabja Agriculture's Media Department, announced at a news conference that 2,000 vendors had registered for the Pomegranate & Autumn Festival of Halabja, with 700 vendors selected to get tents through a lottery.
He added that the festival made 1.435 billion Iraqi dinars in revenue.
“The allocation of tents was as follows: 250 for pomegranates and agricultural products, 200 for handicrafts, 175 for Kurdish cuisine, and 75 for honey products,” stated Ali.
According to information available to PUKMEDIA, 80,000 tourists visited Halabja on the first day of the festival, 110,000 on the second day and 100,000 on the third day, bringing the total to 300,000 visitors.
This year, the number of visitors has risen compared to the previous year, with 270,000 people visiting the festival last year, while approximately 300,000 tourists attended this year.
The 10th Pomegranate and Autumn Festival of Halabja started on October 31, 2024, and continued for three days.
The annual festival features Halabja's renowned pomegranates displayed in a magnificent manner. Homemade pomegranate syrup, various fruit syrups, paintings, amusement activities, and handicrafts are featured at the exhibition.
