Iraqi President and Turkish Ambassador.

President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid held a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador, Anil Bora Inan, in Baghdad.

During their discussions, they reviewed the state of bilateral relations and explored opportunities to further strengthen cooperation in various sectors.

President Rashid underscored the importance of fostering mutual understanding and emphasised that dialogue should be the cornerstone for resolving any outstanding issues between the two neighbouring countries. He stressed the need for sustained efforts to promote security and stability.

Ambassador Inan reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to enhancing cooperation and deepening ties with Iraq, highlighting the significant strides made in their relationship across a range of areas.
