The President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation (PJTF), Dr. Mohammed Sabir, awarded the Honorary Award to researchers who participated in the first National Forum of President Jalal Talabani.
In his remarks, Dr. Sabir emphasised: "Writing is a fundamental part of the national struggle for our people. Mam Jalal gave everything he had to this cause, tirelessly fighting for it. He was a unique symbol of courage, a visionary leader, and an original contributor to the establishment of our national movement."
The ceremony took place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed Sabir, President of the Foundation, in the presence of Mrs. Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed, the First Lady of Iraq, along with party and government officials. The event was held in the Congress Hall at Sulaymaniyah University, where all the participating researchers in the first National Forum of President Jalal Talabani were honored.
In his speech at the ceremony, the President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation expressed his gratitude to the researchers who participated in the first National Forum of President Jalal Talabani. He emphasized that the commemorative volume holds significant importance, offering valuable insights into the life of Mam Jalal and his remarkable personality.
During the event, honorary awards were presented to the researchers who contributed to the first National Forum, held in Najaf on Wednesday, October 10, 2023. The papers presented at the forum were later published in a volume titled Talabani’s Agenda, released on the sixth anniversary of President Talabani’s passing
