Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with British National Security Advisor Jonathan Powell in Germany.
During the meeting, President Bafel addressed all issues and events in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the region and presented the views and national strategies of the PUK in the face of developments and offered his complete support for lowering hurdles in order to ensure security and peace.
Furthermore, he highlighted the necessity of promoting friendly relations and collaboration between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq with the UK, so as to serve the best interests of both sides and promote security and stability in the region.
Moreover, the participants discussed fighting the Islamic State's (ISIS) remnants and uniting military efforts. They emphasised the importance of ongoing coordination and consultations to prevent terrorist movements and overcome security challenges.
In response, the British National Security Advisor expressed his country's commitment to the stability of the Kurdistan Region and continued cooperation, saying: "The UK puts considerable attention to the status of the Kurdistan Region and we will maintain our coordination."

PUK President: PUK is Eager to Developing Relations with UK
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), has met with Tan Dhesi, Chairman of the British Parliament's Defence Committee.During the meeting, President Bafel underlined the United Kingdom's (UK) role in achieving peace and stability in Iraq and the region, saying: "The PUK is eager to develop all relations that serve the achievement of our country's highest goals." He also thanked the UK for its continuous support to the Kurdish people and for empowering the status of the Kurdistan Region.
Another part of the discussion focused on the political and security developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the region, where they stressed the importance of maintaining peace and security in the Middle East.
President Bafel Jalal Talabani emphasised the significance of continuing dialogue and understandings among the parties in order to find peaceful solutions and overcome challenges.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Anne Claire, advisor to French President Emmanuel Macron, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Germany.
The two sides exchanged views on the latest political developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the Middle East and reaffirmed the need for coordination and dialogue between all parties to ensure regional security and political stability.
"Expanding military cooperation and coordination is a great opportunity to maintain stability and control the movements of ISIS remnants," President Bafel said, thanking the French people for their support and assistance to the Kurdish people in their war against the Islamic State (ISIS). In this context, he outlined the process for eliminating barriers to security issues.
