PUK President Receives a US delegation at Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah.
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Daniel Rubinstein, the US Charge d’Affaires to Iraq and Steven Bitner, the US Consul to the Kurdistan Region, at Dabashan in Sulaymaniyah.
During their meeting, they discussed the latest political, economic, and security developments, emphasising the importance of coordination between parties and the necessity of maintaining stability and peace.
President Bafel, speaking on the formation of the new cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government, stated: “We are continuously working to improve the situation in the Kurdistan Region, enhance the lives of our people, and build a strong government. We remain committed to implementing fundamental changes in governance for the benefit of our citizens.”
He also underlined the importance of resolving outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil based on the Constitution, political understanding, and agreements. He added: “We must all approach this matter responsibly and work towards creating more opportunities to reach a resolution that serves the interests of our people.”
