Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), commended the organisers of the Golden Bla Award ceremony and stressed that the event serves as a profound and historic opportunity to recognise and honour those who have devoted their lives to the service of the Kurdish people across political, cultural, and social spheres, which stands as a testament to our enduring gratitude towards our friends and supporters,

He also accepted the award on behalf of Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), where he stated: "With great pride, I participated today in the Golden Bla Awards ceremony in Sulaymaniyah, where I accepted the award on behalf of my revolutionary brother, Mazloum Abdi, among other distinguished honourees recognised for their dedication to the Kurdish cause."

The PUK President's message said:

"With great pride, I participated today in the Golden Bla Awards ceremony held in Sulaymaniyah.

During the ceremony, I accepted the Golden Bla Award on behalf of my beloved and revolutionary brother, Mazloum Abdi, who was among the distinguished personalities honoured this year.

This event, held on the anniversary of the passing of the esteemed Kurdish teacher and intellectual Ibrahim Ahmed, serves as a profound and historic opportunity to recognise and honour those who have devoted their lives to the service of the Kurdish people across political, cultural, and social spheres. It stands as a testament to our enduring gratitude towards our friends and supporters — those who have remained steadfast through every stage of our struggle, defending our identity, safeguarding our existence, and contributing to the sovereignty of Kurdistan.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the Ibrahim Ahmad Foundation for hosting this significant ceremony, which so fittingly reflects the life, struggle, and enduring legacy of Ibrahim Ahmed. Through their efforts, a number of outstanding individuals were nominated for the Bla Award, each representing a proud and inspiring symbol for our people.

Today, the Golden Bla Award was also presented to the martyred hero and comrade Abdo Ahmed Abdi, known as "Sharvan Kobane," who sacrificed his life for the honour and dignity of our people. Additionally, the award was posthumously given to the revered religious leader and friend of the Kurdish people, Supreme Shiite Marja' Sayyid Muhsin al-Hakim, who famously issued a fatwa prohibiting the shedding of Kurdish blood. We will forever cherish and honour the names and memories of these exceptional figures."
