President Rashid and Al-Hakim Stress Inclusive Participation in Upcoming Parliamentary Elections

President Rashid Receives al-Hakim.

The President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, received Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, Leader of the National Wisdom Movement, in Baghdad on Sunday, 25 May 2025.

During their meeting, they reviewed the overall situation in the country, as well as regional and international developments.

They underlined the importance of reinforcing security and stability, promoting national unity, and continuing collaborative efforts among political forces to realise the aspirations of the Iraqi people.

The discussions also covered the ongoing preparations for the forthcoming parliamentary elections, with an emphasis on the importance of inclusive participation from all communities in Iraq.
