PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani's meeting with Daniel Hun, Ambassador of Switzerland to Iraq.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received on Monday, 2 June 2025, Daniel Hun, Ambassador of Switzerland to Iraq, for a meeting focused on regional stability and economic cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides emphasised the importance of maintaining political and security stability in the Kurdistan Region and across Iraq, noting that such stability is essential to creating a favourable environment for foreign investment and encouraging international businesses to contribute to the development of the country’s economic infrastructure.

Discussions also covered ways to deepen bilateral cooperation and strengthen ties between the Kurdistan Region and Switzerland. President Talabani reaffirmed the PUK’s readiness to support and facilitate the work of foreign investors and employers in the Kurdistan Region, underlining the party’s commitment to enhancing services and opportunities for the citizens of the Region.
