Deputy PM Highlights Cooperation with International Diplomats to Boost Investment and Services

Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani met with senior international diplomats, including the French Ambassador to Iraq, the German Deputy Consul General, and the Saudi Consul General, to discuss the formation of the next regional and federal governments, economic development, regional cooperation, and humanitarian medical support in Sulaymaniyah.
Qubad Talabani Meets French Ambassador to Discuss Recent Developments
Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani received Patrick Durrell, the French Ambassador to Iraq, to discuss the formation of the next governments of the Kurdistan Region and the federal government, as well as other matters of mutual interest.
The meeting, held on Wednesday, addressed Iraq’s political process following the parliamentary elections and the formation of the federal government. Qubad Talabani emphasised that the next Iraqi government must focus on developing and diversifying the economy and create favourable conditions for both domestic and foreign investment across all sectors and regions of Iraq.
He underlined that it is the responsibility of the future governments of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to resolve their issues in a fundamental manner, in accordance with the Constitution, and to work together in providing services and fostering economic development.
Regarding the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region and the formation of the next regional government, Qubad Talabani stressed that it must be based on genuine partnership. “The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan will not participate in a government that does not serve all cities and regions of Kurdistan without discrimination,” he stated.
Deputy PM Talabani Meets Saudi CG al-Asiri to Discuss Paediatric Medical Support
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, received Mohammed Sulaiman al-Asiri, the Consul General of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they discussed preparations for the arrival of a team of paediatricians in Sulaymaniyah, who will carry out a number of surgeries for children.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Saudi government for this support and expressed hope for further expansion of cooperation and bilateral relations in the future.
Qubad Talabani: Cooperation with the Kurdistan Region is the Key Solution
Qubad Talabani met with Matthias Wehler, Deputy Consul General of Germany, to discuss joint efforts to tackle illegal immigration.
He highlighted that the most effective solution is close cooperation with the Kurdistan Region, especially to promote economic development across its cities and regions.
