Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), has extended his warm congratulations to Christians in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and around the world on the occasion of Christmas.

In a message, Rasul said: “On the occasion of Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him), I warmly congratulate my Christian brothers and sisters in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and across the world, and wish them happiness and prosperity.”

He added: “On this occasion, we reaffirm the commitment to the core values of peaceful coexistence and harmony among all communities in the Kurdistan Region.”

“I hope that this occasion will serve as a foundation for stability, brotherhood and harmony among the nations of the world,” the statement concluded.
