Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received Irfan Siddiq, United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Iraq.

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received Irfan Siddiq, United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Iraq, at Baghdad Palace, who conveyed his country’s congratulations on the President’s assumption of office, wishing him success in his national duties and continued stability and progress for Iraq.

According to a statement by the Iraqi Presidency, the meeting addressed the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Iraq and the United Kingdom, exploring ways to further develop bilateral ties across various fields in a manner that serves mutual interests.

President Amedi reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to strengthening relations with friendly countries and expanding avenues of joint cooperation, in support of development efforts and the consolidation of stability in the country.
