Qubad Talabani attends the Delphi Forum.
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, said today that his participation in the Delphi International Economic Forum in Greece, underscores the event’s importance in strengthening international economic ties and opening new avenues for investment.
He noted that the Kurdistan Region’s involvement in previous editions—particularly when the forum was hosted in Sulaymaniyah last year—helped draw the attention of numerous companies, business leaders, and major investors, who now regard the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as a promising and significant investment destination.
Talabani added that, despite growing concerns this year over the economic impact of ongoing conflicts, the region’s delegation continues its efforts through meetings with senior officials and representatives of international firms to promote economic partnerships and accelerate development, contributing to greater economic stability in the region.
He arrived in Greece earlier today to attend the 11th edition of the forum and is expected to hold a series of meetings with leaders, politicians, and representatives of participating countries on the sidelines.
The forum is set to begin this afternoon, bringing together a wide range of leaders and country representatives to discuss global politics, economic development, security challenges, geopolitics, environmental issues, and other key topics.
