Rifaat Abdullah, Vice President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), sent a congratulatory message to Ali al-Zaidi on receiving the confidence of the Iraqi Parliament and assuming office as Prime Minister of Iraq.
In his message, Abdullah expressed support for the new government and its efforts to take practical steps aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of all Iraqi communities, strengthening stability, and enhancing relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Federal Government.
The message stated:
“I extend my warmest congratulations to Mr. Ali Faleh al-Zaidi on receiving the confidence of the Iraqi Parliament and being appointed Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Iraq. I wish him and his government success in fulfilling their national responsibilities and duties.
We affirm our support for the new government in taking practical steps to meet the aspirations of all Iraqi communities, consolidate stability, and strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Federal Government.”
