The Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has sent a congratulatory message to Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), as well as to the party’s leadership, on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the founding of the PUK.

The message reads as follows:

Dear Mr. Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Respected members of the Political Bureau, the High Political Council, and the leadership of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan,

On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the founding of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, we extend our warmest congratulations to you, the respected leadership, cadres, members, and supporters of the PUK. We wish you continued success in your work and endeavors.

On this occasion, we once again emphasise the importance of coordination, understanding, and unity among all political forces and parties in Kurdistan in order to address the current critical and decisive issues responsibly; safeguard our achievements; strengthen our institutions; and defend the constitutional and political status of the Kurdistan Region.
