PUK Foreign Centre Marks 51st Anniversary of the Party’s Founding in Europe

The Board of the Foreign Centre of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) marked the 51st anniversary of the founding of the PUK in Europe on 1 June.

During the event, a message from PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani was delivered by Rizgar Haji Hama, a member of the party's Political Bureau.

In his message to PUK comrades abroad, President Bafel said: “Become a leading force in defending the rights of Kurdistan abroad. I urge you to take serious steps and work together towards achieving greater progress. I will support you and expect even greater efforts from you.”

Salar Mahmoud, Head of the PUK Foreign Centre, also delivered a speech in which he congratulated comrades abroad for their efforts and achievements in recent years. He highlighted the importance of reform and renewal in overseas work and programmes, as well as the need to adopt new mechanisms to strengthen organisational activities abroad.

Later in the day, the draft bylaws of the Foreign Centre were presented to participants, followed by extensive discussions aimed at further enriching and developing the draft.
