Iraqi Prime Minister Cancels Railway and Baghdad Airport Development Projects

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi has decided to cancel both the railway project approved by the previous government and the Baghdad International Airport development project.

A government source said in a press statement that the Prime Minister had ordered the cancellation of the railway project, which had previously received government approval.

The source added that al-Zaidi had also cancelled the Baghdad International Airport development project, which has recently been the subject of allegations of corruption.
