Kurdistan Region Deputy PM Qubad Talabani's meeting with Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Enea Karakaçi.
During his visit to Albania, Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani held separate meetings with Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Enea Karakaçi.
The discussions focused on strengthening political and economic ties between the Kurdistan Region and Albania. They agreed to establish a joint working group of experts from both sides to lay the groundwork for building relations in tourism and trade, while also coordinating the exchange of expertise in institutional digitalization and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into public services.
In his meeting with the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, they discussed Albania's experience in developing the energy sector, particularly renewable energy. Both sides emphasised the importance of exchanging expertise and expanding cooperation in this field.
Talabani highlighted the need to establish a direct flight between Sulaymaniyah and Tirana to promote tourism, cultural exchanges and trade between the two nations.
