Qubad Talabani Congratulates Nechirvan Barzani on Italian State Honour

 Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani has congratulated Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani on being awarded the Order of the Star of Italy with the rank of Knight Grand Cross.

In a post on social media, Qubad Talabani described Nechirvan Barzani as “an international leader and a man of vision”, praising his commitment to resolving issues through dialogue and mutual understanding.

“I, and all those who know him closely, can testify that he consistently strives to resolve issues through dialogue and mutual understanding,” Talabani wrote.

He added that Barzani’s political approach is of great importance to the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the wider region, particularly at a time of heightened and unnecessary conflicts.

Talabani concluded his message by congratulating Nechirvan Barzani on receiving the Order of the Star of Italy, one of Italy’s highest civilian honours, awarded with the rank of Knight Grand Cross.
