PUK President Extends Condolences to Qatar Following Death of Former Emir

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), has extended his heartfelt condolences to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and to the Qatari people following the passing of former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

In a condolence message, President Bafel said: 

It is with profound sorrow and deep sadness that we have received the news of the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, father of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

At this time of immense loss, we extend our heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies to the family of His Highness the Emir and to the brotherly people of Qatar.

We pray that Almighty God grants the deceased His infinite mercy, admits him to His eternal Paradise, and bestows patience, strength and comfort upon his family and the people of Qatar.

Indeed, to God we belong, and to Him we shall return.
