Qubad Talabani visits Garmian.
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, visited the Garmian Administration, where he began his visit with a meeting with the Garmian Investment Board.
During the meeting, held on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, participants reviewed the implementation of the decisions and recommendations adopted at the Investment Board meeting in April, which was attended by Talabani.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked board members for their commitment and efforts in managing the board’s work, encouraging them to continue working towards the development and reconstruction of Garmian. He stressed the importance of ensuring that all parts of Garmian receive equal attention, calling for investment projects to be implemented across the administration in line with the needs and characteristics of each area.
Talabani also reaffirmed his support for the Kalar Investment Board, stating that the pressure he has applied, and continues to apply, is motivated by his commitment to Kalar and its people. He said the board should work collectively, provide all necessary support and facilities to investors, and help strengthen investment in Kalar in order to improve public services and promote the region’s development.
