Qubad Talabani’s meeting with Garmian universities officials.
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, met with the leadership of both Garmian University and Garmian Polytechnic University as part of his visit to the Garmian Administration.
During the meeting, Talabani congratulated Garmian Polytechnic University on receiving official recognition from the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He also reaffirmed his support for Garmian University in resolving its outstanding issues, pledging full assistance to help it secure formal recognition from the ministry.
The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the important role of universities in the Region’s development. He stressed the need for both institutions to develop programmes that prepare a skilled workforce capable of meeting Garmian’s development needs. He added that the Kurdistan Regional Government stands ready to provide the necessary support and cooperation.
