French Consul General Bids Farewell to Kurdistan Region’s Vice President

Today, Wednesday, 22 July 2026, Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, received Yann Braem on the occasion of the completion of his tenure as French Consul General to the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, the Vice President expressed his appreciation for the CG’s work, noting the significant role he played in strengthening relations between France and the Kurdistan Region during his tenure. He also wished him every success in his future endeavours.

For his part, Braem thanked the relevant authorities in the Kurdistan Region for their support and cooperation throughout his mission. He reaffirmed France’s continued support for, and cooperation with, the Kurdistan Region.
