President Amedi Meets Political and Social Delegation from Badinan

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi.
The Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received a delegation of political and social figures from the Badinan region of Duhok Governorate at Baghdad Palace on Thursday, 23 July 2026.
The meeting reviewed the overall situation in Iraq and discussed a number of issues affecting the region. President Amedi stressed the importance of strengthening national unity and reinforcing solidarity among all components of Iraqi society, saying such efforts are essential to promoting social stability.
He also highlighted the need to preserve social cohesion and uphold the values of peaceful coexistence and national responsibility, describing them as key pillars in addressing current challenges and advancing reconstruction and reform.
Members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the President’s commitment to engaging directly with people from across Iraq and his willingness to hear their views and concerns. They reaffirmed their support for initiatives aimed at strengthening national unity and promoting stability in the country’s best interests.
