Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Political Bureau and head of the party's Foreign Relations Bureau, received Adrian IJsselstein, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting focused on the latest regional developments and the Kurdistan Region's position in light of ongoing events across the Middle East, with Rasul reaffirming the PUK's consistent position that it was not a party to the conflict and will not become involved in the conflicts.
Rasul also said that the current challenges facing the region underscore the importance of unity among the Kurdistan Region's political parties.
"The difficult situation in the region will strengthen unity among the political parties, because only through unity and solidarity can we best serve our people. We hope that both parliament and the government will reflect these fundamental principles," he said.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Rasul thanked the Kingdom of the Netherlands for its continued cooperation with the Kurdistan Region and expressed hope for further expansion of bilateral relations in the future.
