Kurdistan Region and Czech Republic Seek to Expand Agricultural Cooperation

Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Begard Talabani meets Czech Consul General Lukáš Gjurič.
The Kurdistan Region and the Czech Republic have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in agriculture and water management following talks between Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Begard Talabani and Czech Consul General Lukáš Gjurič.
During the meeting on Tuesday, the Czech Consul General presented Talabani with an official letter from the Czech Minister of Agriculture outlining proposals to deepen bilateral cooperation across a range of agricultural sectors.
The letter highlighted opportunities to enhance coordination in water resources management, livestock development, fisheries and field crop production. It also emphasised support for agricultural companies to improve quality, increase productivity and strengthen food security.
Talabani welcomed the initiative and praised the Czech Republic's contribution to the development of the agricultural sector in the Kurdistan Region.
She also expressed her appreciation for Czechia's continued support and stressed the importance of expanding cooperation to help promote sustainable agricultural growth and enhance food security in the Region.
