Joint Security Operation Leads to Arrest of Two Wanted ISIS Members in Sulaymaniyah

The Kurdistan Region Security (Asayish) Agency has announced that the General Directorate of Asayish Operations, in co-ordination with the Iraqi National Security Service, has arrested two wanted terrorists within Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
In a statement received by PUKMEDIA, the Asayish Agency said: “The General Directorate of Asayish Operations, in coordination with the Iraqi National Security Service and acting on intelligence information, successfully arrested two ISIS terrorists wanted under Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law, who had been hiding within the borders of Sulaymaniyah Governorate.”
The statement added: “In accordance with the territorial jurisdiction of the offence and to complete the investigative procedures, the two suspects were handed over to the Iraqi National Security Service on 28 July 2026.”
