1st International Cancer Conference Set to Take Place in Sulaymaniyah

The 1st International Cancer Conference is set to take place at Hiwa Hospital, bringing together more than 200 experts, doctors, researchers, healthcare leaders and international specialists to discuss cancer awareness and treatment.

According to an invitation issued by Hiwa Hospital to media outlets, the conference will bring together oncology decision-makers from across Iraq, the Kurdistan Region and Sulaymaniyah, alongside dozens of international specialists and more than 200 professionals from the medical and healthcare sectors.

The hospital said the conference will be held in Sulaymaniyah on 4 and 5 February 2027.

The event will focus on cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and research, while also highlighting Sulaymaniyah’s growing role as a centre for medical innovation and international cooperation in cancer care.
