Sulaymaniyah Security Meeting Stresses Coordination Between Kurdistan Region and Iraq Agencies

Security agencies meet in Sulaymaniyah.
A high-level security meeting was held in Sulaymaniyah on Sunday, bringing together senior security and military officials to discuss joint coordination, intelligence-sharing and measures to strengthen stability in the region.
According to an official statement received by PUKMEDIA, the meeting was held at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) in Sulaymaniyah under the supervision of Jalal Sheikh Naji, head of the Parastin u Zanyari/ Zanyari Agency.
The statement said participants stressed the importance of maintaining close coordination among all security and military institutions.
The meeting was attended by Hiwa Ahmed, head of the Kurdistan Region Security Agency (Asayish) forces; Lieutenant General Omar Saleh, commander of the Forces 70; Wahab Halabjayi, Director General of the CTG; and Diyar Omar, commander of the Kurdistan Commando Forces.
During the meeting, officials reviewed the security situation and military developments in Sulaymaniyah and across the Kurdistan Region, as well as potential risks and threats to regional security and stability.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening joint cooperation among security and military institutions to protect citizens and safeguard the security of the Kurdistan Region.
The officials further reviewed ongoing cooperation between intelligence agencies and security forces of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, stressing the need to expand and strengthen these ties in the interests of national security and to address emerging security challenges.
