Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, met with European Union Ambassador to Iraq, where the two sides reaffirmed that all political parties must support the Iraqi Federal Government's measures to enforce the rule of law.

"I met with Mr. Clemens Semtner, the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, and we agreed that all political parties must support the Federal Government's measures to enforce the rule of law, restrict arms to the state, and safeguard Iraq's independence and stability," Talabani said in a post on social media.

"We also emphasised the importance of resolving the outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad," he added. "Particularly as the current environment is highly conducive to reaching solutions in accordance with the constitution."
