Iraqi President Reaffirms Importance of Forces 70 in Maintaining Security

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received Lt. Gen. Omar Saleh, Commander of the Peshmerga's Forces 70, at Al-Salam Palace on Sunday.

According to a statement by the Iraqi Presidency, the meeting focused on current security issues and developments, with President Amedi emphasising the importance of continued coordination among the various forces and formations to protect citizens and preserve stability.

Turning to the Peshmerga Forces, the President stressed the need to further strengthen their capabilities and enhance their operational readiness. He also commended their role in carrying out their national duties.

Lt. Gen. Saleh, in turn, briefed the President on the key responsibilities and current situation of the 70 Forces. He reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and coordination in support of security and stability.
