PUK President Praises Russian Ambassador’s Role in Kurdish-Russian Relations

PUK President and Russian Ambassador meet in Dabashan.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Elbrus Kutrashev, the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, in Debashan.

Kutrashev bid farewell to President Bafel on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure in Iraq. President Bafel expressed his gratitude for Kutrashev’s continued support and for his role as a close friend of the Kurdish people and the PUK, stating: “We will never forget your role and contributions, which were a strong factor in strengthening relations between the Kurdish people and Russia.”

During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation in pursuit of their shared interests.
