The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has extended its congratulations to the Yezidi community in Kurdistan and around the world on the occasion of the Yazidi Jama Festival, also known as Cejna Jama or the Feast of the Assembly, expressing hope that the festival will be celebrated in peace and happiness.
The PUK Politburo's congratulatory message to the Yazidis read:
We warmly congratulate our Yezidi brothers and sisters in Kurdistan and around the world on the occasion of Jama Festival.
We hope the Yezidi community celebrates this festival, along with all its other religious occasions, in happiness and in a peaceful Kurdistan.
May this occasion further strengthen the spirit of unity and coexistence among all ethnic and religious communities, and help overcome the difficult and painful days of the past.
We hope that Shingal [Sinjar] and the ancestral land of our Yezidi brothers and sisters will be rebuilt, enabling them to live lives filled with happiness, peace and stability.
Once again, our warmest congratulations on this blessed occasion.
