Stran Abdullah, a member of the PUK Political Bureau.
According to a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan's (PUK) Political Bureau, the PUK's approaching 5th Congress is anticipated to infuse a fresh feeling of confidence among the public and to conduct a total revamp of the party's programme and structure.
Stran Abdullah, a member of the PUK Political Bureau, spoke with GK TV on the PUK's impending 5th Congress. Abdullah said that this congress will inspire optimism among Kurds and greatly impact their lives. Furthermore, Abdullah said the party's programme and structure would be redesigned and modified.
"The PUK aims to foster innovation within its operations, which will be a topic of discussion among party members during the upcoming congress," he said. "The PUK is viewed as an alternative to itself because other forces have historically attempted to bring about change, but it has been demonstrated that the PUK is the political entity capable of implementing these changes."
"Political parties should demonstrate steadfastness in their decision-making processes, and the PUK is committed to safeguarding its decisions with blood," he added. "The PUK is a political party that consistently demonstrates a preference for forming alliances and engaging in collaborative efforts. It perceives itself as a responsible entity that diligently safeguards its judgments."
Furthermore, he said that the historical events experienced by the PUK resulted in the deterioration of the populace's well-being and livelihoods.
"Had there been a concerted effort to align with the PUK's overarching goals, the fundamental entitlements of our nation and the aspirations of our citizens would have been protected," he said.
According to Abdullah, the ideologies and perspectives of the PUK reflect the sentiments and beliefs of the Kurdish population as a whole.
He stated that the PUK assumes the responsibility of safeguarding these interests, with a particular emphasis on the lives of citizens, adding that this objective constitutes a primary focus within the PUK's operational framework.
