The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) has announced that the preliminary results of Iraq’s parliamentary elections for the sixth term of the Iraqi parliament will be released today, Wednesday.

Jumana al-Ghalai, the IHEC spokesperson, told PUKMEDIA that the Commission will publish the preliminary results for both the special and general voting processes later today.

She explained that the results will show the number of votes secured by parties, alliances, and individual candidates, presented according to each governorate where they contested.

Al-Ghalai also noted that a total of 48 complaints were received over the two days of special and general voting — 39 related to special voting and 9 to general voting. She added that the window for submitting complaints remains open until the end of Wednesday, 12 November 2025.
