Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces.
Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, has ordered all military and security commanders to pursue those responsible for launching projectiles towards the vicinity of the Embassy of the United States in Baghdad and bring them to justice.
In a statement, al-Sudani stressed that targeting diplomatic missions and embassies operating in Iraq is unacceptable under any circumstances, warning that such acts undermine national security and the stability of the country.
He added that those behind the attacks are committing an offence against Iraq, its sovereignty and its security, noting that such rogue groups do not represent the will of the Iraqi people.
The prime minister also emphasised that decisions related to war and military action remain exclusively in the hands of the state, describing this as a national decision that the government has repeatedly affirmed.
