President Bafel, Leader al-Hakim Discuss Iraq’s Political Developments

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, Leader of the National Wisdom Movement, in Baghdad.

The meeting, attended by Qubad Talabani, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, members of the Political Bureau, and Iraqi Justice Minister Khalid Shwani, discussed the latest political developments in Iraq and the wider region, stressing the importance of keeping the country away from conflict.

They also addressed the Iraqi parliament’s upcoming session to elect the President of the Republic, underlining the need to complete all constitutional procedures.
