Iraqi President Nizar Amedi's meeting with Austrian Ambassador

Iraq and Austria's shared commitment to stronger bilateral ties framed President Nizar Amedi's farewell meeting with Austrian Ambassador Andrea Nasi at Baghdad Palace on Sunday, marking the conclusion of the ambassador's diplomatic mission in Iraq.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation across a range of fields in support of the mutual interests of the two friendly countries, according to a statement by the Iraqi Presidency.

Reflecting on Ambassador Nasi's tenure, President Amedi praised his efforts to strengthen Iraqi-Austrian relations, wishing him every success in his future endeavours.

For his part, Ambassador Andrea Nasi expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and support he received during his time in Iraq.

"Austria remains committed to further strengthening its bilateral relationship with Iraq and expanding coordination on issues of mutual interest," he said.
