Joint Security Operation Leads to Arrest of Senior ISIS Operative in Sulaymaniyah.

The General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism (CTG) announced on Friday the arrest of a senior ISIS terrorist in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

In a statement received by PUKMEDIA, the CTG said the operation was carried out successfully on the basis of precise intelligence and through joint security coordination with the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service and the National Security Service.

According to the statement, the suspect had held several senior positions within the terrorist organisation and was involved in carrying out terrorist attacks targeting civilians as well as security forces.
