Qubad Talabani Offers Condolences on Death of Kurdish Politician Mahdi Zana

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, has extended his condolences to Leyla Zana and the Kurdish people in North Kurdistan following the death of Mahdi Zana, a prominent Kurdish politician and activist.

In his message, Talabani wrote:

Mahdi Zana was a prominent Kurdish politician and patriot. We are deeply saddened by the passing of this dedicated advocate of peaceful struggle. On this occasion, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Leyla Zana, and to the entire Kurdish people in North Kurdistan.

We pray that God grants Mahdi Zana’s soul eternal peace in Paradise and that his hopes and aspirations for the Kurdish people, as well as for lasting peace across the region, may be fulfilled.
