CTG Chief Visits ICTF’s newly appointed Chief in Baghdad.

Wahab Halabjay, Director General of the General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism (CTG), accompanied by a number of senior officers from the Directorate, paid an official visit to the headquarters of the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service (ICTS) in Baghdad, where the delegation was received by Staff Lieutenant General Zaid Hoshi Al-Moussawi, Head of the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service.

The visit was made to congratulate Staff Lieutenant General Zaid Hoshi Al-Moussawi on assuming his duties as Head of the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service. Halabjay conveyed his congratulations and wished him continued success in carrying out his national duties and responsibilities.

The two sides discussed ways to further develop relations and strengthen coordination between the Kurdistan Region’s CTG and the Iraqi ICTS, with particular emphasis on expanding security, intelligence and operational cooperation.

Over the years, the two institutions have maintained strong mutual support and close cooperation, including the continuous exchange of accurate intelligence and sustained security coordination. This partnership has played an important role in confronting terrorist organisations, dismantling their networks and reducing the threats they pose.
